AZS Revolving Tube

Description

Fused Cast AZS revolving tube is a high-performance, precision-engineered expendable refractory component. It is manufactured through an electric arc melting process where high-purity alumina, zirconia, and silica are completely liquefied and cast into specialized molds.

Operating in the feeder or forehearth section of glass furnaces, this hollow cylindrical component continuously rotates within the molten glass. Its primary mechanical function is to stir the melt, homogenize glass temperature, and regulate the precise flow rate of glass gobs delivered to forming machines.

Advantages

l  Superior Corrosion Resistance: High zirconia content provides unmatched resistance against chemical dissolution and erosion caused by aggressive molten glass.

l  Ultra-Low Glass Defects: The dense, crystalline microstructure minimizes refractory exudation, drastically reducing structural defects like cords, stones, or blistering in final glass products.

l  High-Temperature Strength: It maintains superb torsional and mechanical stability under continuous rotation at extreme operating temperatures exceeding 1300°C to 1500°C.

l  Optimal Thermal Shock Resistance: Engineered with a stable phase structure, it withstands the rapid thermal fluctuations occurring during initial furnace heat-up or operational adjustments.

l  Extended Service Life: Its dense, low-porosity structure ensures a much longer campaign life compared to sintered alternatives, reducing unscheduled downtime and replacement costs.

Applications

l  Glass Forehearth & Feeder Systems: Positioned right before the gob forming stage to stir the liquid glass, ensuring uniform thermal distribution and consistent viscosity.

l  Container Glass Production: Extensively used in high-speed manufacturing lines for bottles, jars, and cosmetic containers where weight consistency is vital.

l  Tableware & Premium Glassware: Applied in the production of high-clarity soda-lime glass cups, bowls, and premium decorative glass items.

l  Specialty & Borosilicate Glass: Employed in melting systems for pharmaceutical tubing, laboratory glassware, and optical lenses where absolute purity and zero contamination are strict prerequisites.
